Leafs battling through physical play and not taking retaliatory penalties is what they SHOULD do. Body checks are part of the game and amp up in the playoffs. The refs are going to put the whistles away. Better learn to push through it cause retaliating back ThAT is what will get called time and time again. Rather not give powerplays away like candy. Play hard play smart, kill em on the scoreboard.

While I agree that there may be a lack of pushback - It is quite understandable and entirely on the GM. The Leafs simply do not have the type of players that will or should challenge 6'5" Kandre Miller or 6'3" Trouba. Rangers have some big mean dirty players, Leafs will have to settle for escaping injury free and lighting the lamp behind Shesterkin. I thought - other than one bad defensive play by Marner in the second, Leafs played one of their finest games this year. Samsonov was great, can't fault him on that fluky goal off the faceoff. Shesterkin was brilliant, only thing that kept it close. Between posts, crossbars and amazing saves, Leafs could have won by a wide margin IMO.

I would think the Canooks would want Necas instead of KK along with their 1st in 23 and Philly's 2nd in 24.

Same, but hard to do, especially at forward. Leafs have two skilled scoring lines, replacing Kampf or Kerfoot is pretty easy, but not sure if we want a goon instead. Probably easier to add a 6'5" D-man - like most top teams do. Look at every contending team and they will have one behemoth on D.

They could proably get more from the Bruins than that.

Dubas has a couple decent whiffs for sure (Kadri and Foligno), but overall makes many more solid moves than bad.

a pretty good picture of what they could be is the Canucks high Profile team with a large fanbase, with bad.. owner/GMs ..many more bad moves than good.

That said, Duby needs to hit a HR this trade DL. if he is going to make a move for a difference maker and pay up, its has to pay off.

I would be stunned if KK is involved but if that's what Vancouver wants and we can extend Horvat then sure.
